Veteran Telugu Filmmaker Sagar Passes Away At 70, Due To Age-related Ailments! Fans And Celebrities Express Their Remorse
Veteran Telugu filmmaker Sagar passed away on Thursday at his Chennai residence after suffering from age-related ailments. The late filmmaker passed at the age of 70 and his sad demise has left a void among the fans and his colleagues. 

Reacting to the sad news, Srinu Vaitla expressed his remorse for the death of his mentor and wrote, “It is extremely painful to know that my guru Sagar garu is no more. He took care of all his assistants very affectionately and taught them many valuable things. He was a great support for all of us. You will be remembered forever sir Om Shanthi (sic).” 

The late veteran actor was known for films like Amma Donga, and Stuvartupuram Dongalu. 

The director is known to have curated around 35 films in his career and he made his directorial debut with Rakasiloya (1983). Meanwhile, his assistants Srinu Vaitla, VV Vinayak, Ravi Kumar Chowdhary, and G Nageswara Reddy, took up the baton and went on to become successful directors 

It was Stuvartpuram Dongalu that worked as a talisman to his career and the film even emerged as the game changer at the box office.

Some of Sagar’s popular works include Public Rowdy, Daadi, Nakshatra Poratam, Amma Donga, Bharatasimham, Ammanaakodalaa, Alumagalu, Jagadekaveerudu, Ramasakkanodu and Anveshna among others.
