Sharing her views on Aamir Khan's decisions and him being trolled for it Gulki told SpotboyE, "I believe that what Aamir Khan did is a mere publicity stunt for his upcoming film Lal Singh Chaddha. As there is too much tension between the two countries then on the first place he should not have shot there in Turkey and if also due to undue circumstance he is shooting then he shouldn't have met the first lady. I also believe Aamir Khan is very smart and he knows what he is doing. So this time he has used his intellectual acuity to promote his film using a political controversy. On August 17, pictures of Aamir Khan meeting with Turkey’s first lady Emine Erdogan in Istanbul surfaced on the internet, after which the Laal Singh Chaddha star got trolled on social media. The president of Turkey has made anti-India statements in the recent past hence he faced flak. On Twitter, Turkey’s first lady, shared pictures of her meeting with Laal Singh Chaddha actor Aamir Khan and wrote, “I had the great pleasure of meeting @aamir_khan, the world-renowned Indian actor, filmmaker, and director, in Istanbul. I was happy to learn that Aamir decided to wrap up the shooting of his latest movie 'Laal Singh Chaddha' in different parts of Turkey. I look forward to it. As soon as pictures of Aamir Khan with Turkey’s first lady surfaced on the internet, fans took to Twitter to lash out on the actor. The enraged social media users expressed their fury on social media for the reason being the reported tensions between India and Turkey. Reportedly, India and Turkey are having tensions over Article 370 being scrapped in Kashmir and Turkey siding with Pakistan in the conflict".
