After His Spoof On Neha Kakkar, Gaurav Gera Apologises, ‘Meri Aukat Nahi Hai To Tell Her Anything’
Gaurav Gera and Kiku Sharda’s recent comic act that made fun of Neha Kakkar on the show Dr Pran Lele, the singer and her brother Tony Kakkar slammed them on social media. Now, Gaurav Gera has apologized to her and said that he had no idea she’d be so hurt
Neha Kakkar, who is currently on the judging panel of Indian Idol 11, is one of the most popular singers today. Having given some hits like Mile Ho Tum, Coca Cola and others, the singer is not only known for her beautiful, unique voice, but also for achieving so much after a lot of struggle. So when Gaurav Gera and Kiku Sharda, in their recent comic act on the show Dr Pran Lele, made fun of Neha Kakkar, she took to Instagram and slammed them.
Clearly hurt by the spoof on her, Neha Kakkar wrote, “Shame on these people to create such a NEGATIVE and insulting content! My people know how much I appreciate comedy on me and otherwise but this one is Ridiculous!!! Stop using my name, Stop enjoying, dancing and acting on my songs if you hate me so much. Thankless people." Now, Gaurav Gera, in an interview with ETimes, apologized to Neha Kakkar. He said that he wouldn’t want to hurt her because he is a fan himself. He said, “I love the way she sings and her songs are definitely parties ki jaan. We make fun of each other so much in all the episodes. Meri koi aukat nahi hai to tell her anything... Gaurav Gera also added that he wanted to stay away from controversy and that during the shoot he and Kiku Sharda kept saying wherever they felt that their act was going overboard. Neha Kakkar had also later posted on Instagram a note and asked her fans to let go of the issue. Her brother Tony Kakkar had also slammed Gaurav and Kiku for this act, saying that he was heartbroken.
