The show couldn't bear the brunt of the effects of lockdown because of Coronavirus. And within a few hours, news of another TV show facing the impact of COVID-19 has emerged. Star Bharat's latest show Kartik Purnima starring Poulomi Das and Harsh Nagar in the lead goes off the air. The show which started only in February this year, was on TV for less than two months as lockdown got announced on March 24 and has been indefinitely extended since then.

A reliable source associated with the show told exclusively that actors have been informed about the sad news. It was only recently when the channel decided to pull the plug on the show owing to the whole pandemic situation resulting in the shoot coming to a halt. We contacted Poulomi Das and she confirmed the news to us.

Talking about the storyline it revolved around the main characters Purnima (Poulomi Das) who is a dusky girl. Due to her complexion, she has to face age-old orthodox thinking of the society but yet she manages to keep herself happy. Kartik (Harsh Nagar) falls in love through his family doesn't accept her but he fights for her acceptance.

Before Kartik Purnima shows like Naagin 4, Beyhadh 2, Patiala Babes, Isharo Isharo Mein, Nazar 2, Dil Jaise Dhadke Dhadakne Do, Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Maan Jaao has gone off-air due to the same reason.
