Parents can go to any extreme extent for their kids and so will a couple to have a kid. One such couple is actors Rajesh Khattar and his wife Vandana Khattar who had to go through a painful journey to become parents. At the age of 44, Vandana became a mother but the journey to parenthood wasn't an easy road as she had to go through numerous miscarriages, IUI and IVF failures, and failed surrogacies before having a 'miracle' child. Now, the Khatttars are beaming with joy as they are proud parents to Yuvaan but before this happiness, they went through their own sets of ups and downs. Talking about the same, in an interview, Vandana opened up on prepartum and postpartum depression, losing a child and the challenging journey to become a mother at the age of 44 in an interview.

However, actor Ankita Lokhnade is simply moved to know about their difficult and heart-wrenching story of parenthood that she took to her Instagram stories to share their inspirational story. She shared a picture of the couple and captioned it as, "What a journey, so inspiring". Speaking to Miss Malini, she revealed that they were going to have twins but due to Vandana’s uterine lining being weak, she kept her legs raised for 3 months. Unfortunately, she started bleeding one day and only to find that they lost one of the babies while Yuvaan was born prematurely. Yuvaan was kept in NICU for three months. Heartbroken with the loss of her baby and traumatic delivery, Vandana went into postpartum depression.

She told the portal, “I can’t even tell you what a sight it was to see my baby so tiny and the size of an arm, with wires all over his face, surrounded by pipes and tubes. The entire experience was full of stress, pain, anxiety, fear and sadness. Later, my doctor told me that it was prepartum depression, and because I did not attend to it with the right medication or counselling, it soon aggravated to postpartum depression.”

In September 2019, after delivering Yuvaan, she shared a note on her Instagram story about her struggle where she wrote, "Never gave up for 11 years! Tried every science under the Sun ... and finally the universe heard me ... #Faith can move mountains! For all women n couples". ALSO READ: Ishaan Khattar's Step Mom Vandana Khattar Opens Up On Going Through Pre-partum And Post-Partum Depression, Losing A Baby And Conceiving At 44
