Anupamaa starring Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey, Gaurav Khanna and Madalsa Sharma has been winning hearts since it first went on-air in July last year. Given the interesting storyline and terrific cast, the show has been topping the TRP charts. Anupamaa is loved by the masses and it's success speaks for itself. There's no denying that Rupali Ganguly is portraying the character with utmost perfection. Fans always shower love on the actress.
But did you know that not Rupali Ganguly but there was another actress who was considered for this role? It might take you by surprise but actress Ami Trivedi, who is currently seen in Rajan's longest-running show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai', was also offered to play Anupamaa. Yes, you read that right! There was a strong competition between Ami and Rupali. No doubt, Ami would've nailed it as Anupamaa too!
Rajan Shahi was impressed by Ami's audition and promised her to offer a role which suited her best. And well, he kept his promise. Ami was offered to play the role of Harshad Chopda's mother in 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' when the show was going to take a leap. Ami was last seen in Tedi Medi Family.
