Star Plus’ popular show Anupamaa, led by Rupali Ganguly, has been a favorite among audiences for the past four years, consistently topping the TRP charts. Recently, however, the show has been making headlines for different reasons. One of the most talked-about developments was the exit of Sudhanshu Pandey, who portrayed the antagonist Vanraj Shah. Sudhanshu's departure has led to much speculation about the future direction of the show, especially regarding his character's fate. Since Sudhanshu Pandey's exit, the storyline of Anupamaa has shifted focus to Toshu taking over the Shah household following Vanraj's mysterious disappearance. Anu, the lead character, has taken it upon herself to uncover the truth behind Vanraj’s sudden absence and bring him back home. This evolving plotline has intrigued fans, and to keep the suspense alive, the makers of the show have temporarily banned media from visiting the sets. According to Telly Chakkar, the Anupamaa team is currently shooting an important sequence, and the creators want to maintain secrecy about the upcoming track. As a result, media access to the set has been restricted, and the actors have reportedly been asked to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to prevent any leaks. The show’s makers are reportedly planning a significant twist, which could involve either Vanraj Shah’s return or a definitive exit from the storyline.


Sudhanshu Pandey, who played Vanraj for four years, announced his departure via Instagram. In an exclusive interview, he explained that he felt it was time to move on as he no longer saw growth in his role. He mentioned, "As an actor, I did not have much left, and I felt it was time to move on. Personal growth is important, and for four years, I gave my all to Vanraj Shah. But when I realized my growth was stunted, I decided to call it quits."

There were earlier rumors that actor Pankit Thakker might replace Pandey as the new Vanraj Shah, but Thakker has since denied those reports. As the mystery surrounding Vanraj’s fate continues to build, fans eagerly await the next twist in Anupamaa, which has consistently kept its viewers on edge with its dramatic storylines.
