Anupamaa SPOILER ALERT 9 January 2024: Anuj Confronts Anu, Realises It’s Just A Dream; Aadhya Lashes Out At Shruti
Starring Rupali Ganguly, Gaurav Khanna, Aurra Bhatnagar, Sudhanshu Pandey, and others, Anupamaa is one of the most-watched shows on Star Plus. Despite the drop in the TRP recently, when the makers introduced the 5-year leap, the show continues to be one of the most discussed serials on social media. In the last few episodes, it was seen that Baa condemns Pakhi for separating Ishani and Adhik. Vanraj dedicates his life to raising Ansh. An angry Yashpal fires Anu from his restaurant, Choti (now Aadhya) suffers from a panic attack, leaving Anuj and Shruti worried.

Today’s episode starts with Anuj confronting Anupamaa and telling her that despite wanting to forget about her, he couldn’t. Even though it's been 5 years, she is all he thinks about. He tells her that he has Shruti in his life, who wants to marry him, but she is all he needs. Anuj scolds her for leaving him and Choti when all he wanted was for her to focus on him and his daughter. He pleads with her to return to their lives and goes to hug her when he realises it is just a dream and she is not there. Anu walks behind him. He sees her and runs towards her but the person he stops is just someone who is wearing a similar sweater like Anu. On the other hand, at the Shah house, Vanraj tells Baa about the party he attended with Kavya. He tells her how they cracked a big deal, as Baa goes to make halwa with Dimpy, Vanraj thanks Kavya for coming with him as his boss’ wife had asked him why he never brings his wife to such gatherings. Kavya tells him that he should have told her the truth that he is not habitual in taking his wife to parties. She reminds him how he had completely restricted Anu from going out of the house. An angry Vanraj tells her that Anu never deserved to go to parties. Kavya reminds him that while Vanraj is here trying to impress American clients in India, Anu is in America making a living for herself. Back in America, Anu fends for herself on the streets, after Vikram promises her that he will talk to the boss after the work is over. Kavya slams Vanraj for his thought process and reminds him how Anu had flourished as a businesswoman, dancer, and wife after marrying Anuj. It is then seen that Choti gets a panic attack again in her sleep. As Anuj pacifies her Aadhya pleads with him to move somewhere in America. Shruti tells her to drink juice made by Joshi ben, which Aadhya throws away. She tells her not to call Joshi ben at their place and goes from there. Shruti feels bad about not becoming a good mother and Anu pacifies her. 

As the episode comes to an end, Pakhi tries to downplay Dimpy and warns her to stay away from Ishani. As night falls, Anu comes across some goons and starts walking the other way when she comes across Yashpal’s mother. She takes Anu to the restaurant and schools Yashpal for firing her. She tells him not to forget his humanity and Yashpal tells Anu that she can work there. In the upcoming episode of the show, it will be seen that Anuj will see Anu traveling in a cab with Vikram. He will run out on the street, calling her name and get into an accident.
