Anurag Kashyap-Payal Ghosh Controversy: Nausheen Ali Sardar Says, 'Struggling Actors Are Misusing #MeToo And That's Wrong'- EXCLUSIVE
A few days back, Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap landed in a legal trouble after an actress named Payal Ghosh filed a police complaint against accusing him of molestation. Since then many from the industry have been coming out in support of the filmmaker.

Actress Nausheen Sardar Ali also spoke to us and defended Kasyap in the matter.

"I have had a very small interaction with Anurag Kashyap in the past, yet I could gage that the way he talks or presents himself, he seems to be a thorough gentleman and very down to earth. I remember I had commented something regarding his movie and he had replied humbly," recalled Nausheen. The actress also spoke about how she has never been a victim to casting couch. Nausheen said, "I have never had a casting couch experience in my entire life but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I have met many big producers and directors, who are infamous in casting couch cases, but when I met them, not one person told me, "aapko ye karna padega ya aapko wo karna padega" because you also have to see how you conduct yourself. I am someone who never comes out to give my opinion and likes to keep my mouth zipped but this time I felt it was a little too much. I don't like it when women misuse sensitive terms like rape, molestation and absue frivously. These are very serious allegations. Whatever Payal has accused Anurag of, I can't comment on that as I wasn't present there to see if it happened or not but knowing Anurag, at least I can judge that he is not that kind of man."

Nausheen also expressed her displeasure over the entire industry being generalised because of a few rotten apples. She said, "The funniest part is nobody knows who this female is? She may be an actor who has probably done one play, one ad or an episodic in Savdhaan India but still, these people are also tagged as TV actors, celebrities, Bollywood actors and this is what I have a problem with. Because those who are actually from the industry like me or any other actor from Bollywood or TV, who have worked for years, have to face the brunt in the society. If we go out to buy or rent a house, people come and tell us 'aap actor ho ham aapko nahi denge ghar or elese you will do drugs or commit suicide'. That is the kind of feedback we get and I have personally experienced this myself many times. When I wanted to buy a property, there were so many buildings who refused to me because of this reason. They straight away said, 'We don't want to give flats to the industry people as they are fragile and commit suicide'. And this is what annoys me as it becomes difficult to explain ki paancho ungliya same nahi hoti hai."

Nausheen further added how there are some real letchers in the entertainment industry but no one speaks about them. "I don't want to take anybody's name but there are 2-3 people who have come in support of Anurag Kashyap, and ironically they are the actual tharkis (sting) in the industry. Everyone knows what people are, it's just that nobody wants to come out and say as then it becomes a defamation case. I am feeling bad for Anurag, who is a nice man, his image is being maligned and a girl who nobody knows is getting the spotlight. Before she made all these accusations nobody knew her and now people are googling her and finding out who she is. This is how the struggling actors are misusing #MeToo movement and that's totally wrong," said Nausheen.

Speaking about Anurag's ex-wife, Kalki Koechlin defending the filmmaker, Nausheen said, "If a woman leaves a marriage, it takes a lot of guts and courage to speak about ur ex-husband and if she is saying good things about him, that has to carry some weight."
