Balika Vadhu Assistant Director Says ‘I Have No Regrets’ As He Sells Veggies In Hometown, To Make Ends Meet

Many people across the world and in the country have not only lost their lives, loved ones, but also lost their jobs, which help to make ends meet and support the family during the Coronavirus pandemic. The Coronavirus lockdown in the country has affected many. Ram Vriksha Gaur, who was one of the assistant directors of the Sidharth Shukla-Pratyusha Banerjee show Balika Vadhu, is currently selling vegetables in his hometown, Azamgarh district. The Balika Vadhu assistant director said he has no regrets in selling veggies to make ends meet.
As reported by IANS, Ram Vriksha Gaur narrated how he ended up selling veggies for a living. Speaking with the media, he said, “I had come to Azamgarh for the recce of a film. We were here when the lockdown was announced and then it was not possible to return.” The Balika Vadhu AD mentioned that the project he was working on was stopped. He shared how the producer said that it would take another year or more to get back to work. Talking about how he went on to sell veggies, he continued, “I then decided to take on my father's business and started selling vegetables on a handcart. I am familiar with the business and have no regrets.”
Sharing details about his life further, the Balika Vadhu AD spoke about his journey to the city of dreams. He revealed that he came to Mumbai in 2002 with the help of his friend and writer Shahnawaz Khan and worked in the light department and then in the production department of TV serials. Ram Vriksha Gaur mentioned he became an assistant director in the production of many serials first and then worked as the episode director and unit director for the show Balika Vadhu.
Meanwhile, Ram Vriksha Gaur concluded and said, “I have my own house in Mumbai and I am confident that I will return one day. Till then, I am here doing what I can.” The Balika Vadhu AD has also worked as an assistant director with filmmakers of movies features Rajpal Yadav, Randeep Hooda, Sunil Shetty and a few others. Before the lockdown, he was set to start work on a Bhojpuri film and then a Hindi film.
