Popular comedian Bharti Singh was seen on television cracking hilarious jokes, while also taking potshots at Indian Idol judge Neha Kakkar’s height hours after the Narcotics Control Bureau arrested her and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa post seizure of ganja (cannabis) from their house in Mumbai. While the episode of the comedy show was recorded before Bharti’s arrest, it aired on television hours after she was arrested. Indian Idol 2020 judges Himesh Reshammiya and Vishal Dadlani, along with host Aditya Narayan appeared as guests during the episode that aired on Saturday night.
Welcoming the judges and the host of Indian Idol, Bharti questioned where Neha Kakkar was, and mocked her height as she pretended to look for Neha Kakkar inside a banana. “You have come from Indian Idol? Where’s that girl? Neha (Kakkar)!” she said. Aditya Narayan informed Bharti of Neha’s wedding, and said, “Her cheeks are being caressed by her husband. She has just got married,” to which Bharti replied, “No wonder I saw a video where the room was decorated with flowers.” Bharti also then jokingly accused Aditya Narayan of trying to snatch away her anchoring job from her and her hubby Haarsh Limbachiyaa.
“My husband has found a job of hosting a show between 8 PM and 9.30 PM (India’s Best Dancer). This did not go down well with this man (Aditya). He is trying to snatch even that job away,” said Bharti. The comedian left viewers in splits with her perfectly timed jokes.
Meanwhile, Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa were granted bail in the drugs case, and were asked to submit a bond of Rs 15,000 each. As they headed home, a video showing Haarsh flashing the victory sign, while Bharti waving at the paparazzi surfaced on social media.
