Bigg Boss 13: After #JehadFelataBiggBoss Trends, Traders’ Body Writes To I&B Ministry Seeking Ban; Raises Objection To Men And Women Sharing A Bed
All the controversies around Bigg Boss 13 seems to be never-ending. Only yesterday, we reported how Twitter was taken by storm after a lot of trolls trended the hashtag ‘Jehad Felata Bigg Boss’, which topped the list for quite a long time. All this because a certain section of viewers felt that the makers of Bigg Boss 13 are degrading the Hindu culture and promoting Jehad by making Hindu woman share bed with a Kashmiri Muslim bed.

Now, adding to all the mess, the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), on Sunday, urged the Information and Broadcasting Minister, Prakash Javdekar to ban the reality show, as according to them, “our country’s traditional and cultural values are being tarnished in the lust of TRP and profits.” As per a report in The Hindu Business Line, the secretary of CAIT, Praveen Khandelwal, Bigg Boss 13’s concept of ‘bed friend forever’, which makes a male and female contestant share bed on the show, is highly immoral.

He was quoted as saying, “In the current show, the concept of ‘Bed Friend Forever’ is highly deplorable and is against all moral ethics of the television world. The makers of the show have forgotten that it is the prime time slot on TV when this show is telecast and people of all age groups watch the show.”

This controversy started after a misleading image from Bigg Boss 6, featuring Kishwar Merchant and Suyyash Rai kissing on the bed, had gone viral. People mistook them for contestants from Bigg Boss 13. This sure has created a lot of stir on the social media and we now await an official statement from the makers of Bigg Boss 13.
