Shefali Bagga's claims in Bigg Boss 13 about her co-contestant Arti Singh having been married have set the Internet on fire. It is being believed that Arti did marry Ayaz and now speculations are being done on why they divorced! Well, Arti certainly dated Ayaz for three years. But did they tie the knot? Hear it from the horse and someone close to Arti.
When contacted, Arti Singh's sister-in-law Kashmera Shah (married to Govinda's nephew Krushna Abhishek) said, "Rubbish, Arti and Ayaz never married. Shefali is a journalist and she needs to do her homework. Or maybe, she is blabbering anything to create controversies and grab eyeballs." We also got in touch with Ayaz, who started laughing when we asked him if he had ever married Arti. " What preposterous talk is going on. Arti and I never married." With a laugh, he further said, "This is like in a movie that a couple went to Mt Everest and Bhagwan ko sakshi maankar shaadi karli and nobody ever got to know about it."
"It's strange that it took us three years to realise that we are two different people, who aren't on the same page on many issues. We tried to salvage the relationship, but it wasn't meant to be. Some friendships shouldn't graduate to love or marriage. Having said that, we continue to be best friends and are there for each other. It's unfortunate that we couldn't become life partners," confirming about her relationship having ended with Ayaz, Arti had once told TOI.
Ayaz however refused to talk about why they separated. We asked him pointblank if difference in religion proved to be a spanner. We told him that we have heard from sources that Ayaz's parents did not approve of Arti. Ayaz neither accepted nor denied that, but simply replied, "I wouldn't like to talk about the reason."
So that's that! Arti and Ayaz never became man and wife. Ayaz is now happily married and his wife's name is Jannat. Jannat (who earlier went by the name Amish) married Ayaz in Lucknow on March 16 in the City of Nawabs, which is also his hometown.
