Punjab actor-model Himanshi Khurana became a household name after she stepped foot in television’s most controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 13. The evicted contestant, who is now back on the show, though was never inclined to set her foot in the entertainment business. Things just fell in place after winning a beauty pageant in Ludhiana and ever since then there was no looking back for the actress. Today we present to you some lesser known facts of the diva who has already carved a niche for herself in the world of music and Punjab entertainment industry.
Himanshi is a medical student, as she did her +2 in science with mathematics being her additional subject. Though the actress always had phobia of needles, she pursued medical studies as her father wanted her to do so. She later graduated in aviation,but didn’t complete as she decided to drop out of masters and set her foot in the Punjabi music industry. Simultaneously she also participated in a beauty pageant and was crowned as the winner. This mentioned beauty pageant was held in Ludhiana and since then the actress started climbing up the success ladder slowly and steadily. Moving her base from her hometown, she came to down to the capital, Delhi and tried her hands at modeling. Abiding by the philosophy of doing qualitative work over quantity, thus landing a lot of renowned brands in her kitty and finally these deals setting her in the right direction towards success.
In 2010 she marked her debut in the world of Punjabi music by featuring alongside one of best Punjabi singers, Kuldeep Manak. Her debut music video was titled Jodi - Big Day Party. Post which she featured in 35 music videos and garnered love and fame from the audience. And ultimately in 2018, Himanshi made her singing debut with the Punjabi song titled, High Standard. Loaded with swag and happening beats, this number was penned by Rav Hanjara and composed by Snappy Gill. The number was a great start for Himanshi’s singing career, as audience adored it and gave it a thumb up.
