Bigg Boss 13's Devoleena Bhattacharjee To Play Grown Up Bondita After Barrister Babu Takes A Leap? EXCLUSIVE
Yesterday Mumbai's CM Uddhav Thackeray gave permission to FWICE to start film and TV shoots with restricted guidelines and now all the makers have geared up to resume the shoot of their shows which had come to a sudden halt due to lockdown. Amongst many producers lining up to start filming their daily soaps are makers of Barrister Babu. But because of a new rule Colors TV's Barrister Babu producers have started the hunt for their main lead as to who will play Bondita.

Currently, the show revolves around Bondita Das (Aura Bhatnagar) who is an 8-year-old girl and is a curious little being with her own perspective of viewing the world. He character Anirudh Roy Choudhary which is played by Pravisht Mishra marries Bondita to stop sati pratha. But now as per the new guidelines set by the government, no children will be allowed on the set for precautionary measures and hence the makers are forced to take an age leap. This will allow them to take the story forward and start shooting for it.

A source close to the show told that casting calls are being made and Devoleena Bhattacharjee has also been approached for the same. It is obvious that the makers are looking for someone who has a Bengali touch and a mischievous personality. And Devoleena fits the bill. However, nothing has been finalised yet.

Talking about Devoleena's work,  she was last seen in Bigg Boss 13 but had to quit her journey mid-way due to her health issues. It will be interesting to see the actress who is already popular as Gopi Bahu if she will be able to make an impact with this role?
