Bigg Boss 14’s Eijaz Khan’s close friend and show producer Sandiip Sikcand opens up about Eijaz’s problem with touch and said he knows him for 18 years and initially he never used to hug him. He further added that Eijaz has to be very comfortable around people to hug them
During his Bigg Boss 13 stint, Eijaz Khan had revealed a dark secret of his past where he had stated that he was molested when he was young. The actor had further stated that ever since that incident took place in his life, he has had a traumatic experience following which he has a problem with people who touch him. In the previous episode, we witnessed Eijaz Khan’s sudden exit from the show. It was being said that owing to the prior commitments the makers had to let him go. Devoleena Bhattacharjee has been sent as his proxy inside the house.
Now, Eijaz Khan’s close friend and show producer Sandiip Skcand opens up about Eijaz’s touch problem and said he knows him for 18 years and initially he never used to hug him. He further added that Eijaz has to be very comfortable around people to hug them. Speaking to TOI, Eijaz said, “When I meet Eijaz, we always give each other a hug. The problem is that he has to be comfortable around people and only then does he initiate the hug or touch. I have known him since 18 years and initially, I never used to hug him; we would just shake hands when we met. I remember one incident when he was at my house and my mother came to welcome him with a hug, but he very politely explained to her that he wasn’t comfortable with it.”
“But now that he knows her well, he himself hugs her when they meet. I think he takes time to establish a rapport with someone. It’s not like he thinks, ‘Oh God, I can't touch anyone’. People in the house are sometimes stupid and make a big deal about nothing. I think it's a psychological and emotional problem, which one has to deal with sensitively,” he further added.
