What's your major source of drama, entertainment, action, romance and comedy - all packed in one? Bollywood films? Daily soap operas? Well, they do it partially, but case in point here is one of the most popular reality shows of India, Bigg Boss. Only recently, the 13th season of this much-loved show ended after its extended run of more than three months. And guess what? The makers are now neck-deep into the conceptualisation of Bigg Boss 14. Yes, you read that right! But before you jump off your seats in excitement, certain things here are not to rejoice about. If a report in Peeping Moon is anything to go by, all the BB fans might have to wait for a little longer than expected for this one to finally happen.
Well, it's a known fact that the Coronavirus outbreak brought a lot of changes when it comes to public gatherings, one of which also happens while the shooting for any show or film. So, keeping that in mind, the makers have decided to inculcate the concept of social distancing in the upcoming season of Bigg Boss as well.
The report states how Bigg Boss needs a crew of 300 people, including its contestants, camerapersons, production control room (PCR), technicians, creative team and editors among others. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic taking over the country, it's going to be highly challenging for the makers. And to keep up with the same, they have started with all the preps already!

As for its first promo featuring host Salman Khan, a source close to the show said to the portal, "The show was to be announced in June with Salman Khan returning as the host for the 14th season. The plan had to be postponed due to the lockdown. Now, just as Amitabh Bachchan shot a video for KBC’s upcoming season from home, Salman might shoot the BB14 announcement from his Panvel farmhouse. The creative team is working on a format to share with him.”
Due to the delay in the airing of Khatron Ke Khiladi's latest season episodes, there might also be a delay in the premiere of Bigg Boss 14. And as per the portal, it's likely to happen in the first month of October this year. It adds how Salman Khan has asked the makers to add 'social distancing' as a key feature of this season. Reportedly, Zaan Khan of Hamari Bahu Silk, Shubhangi Atre of Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain and Tujhse Hai Raabta fame Shagun Pandey have been approached to participate in this season. However, there hasn't been any official confirmation so far. Excited much?
