Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss is known for questioning the mental and emotional stability of its contestants. While many are seen to be firm no matter what the tasks are, the countless fights they get into or Salman’s comment on their game, some break down from the pressure that they feel around them. The most recent housemate to have a mental breakdown is Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia.

The actor-lawyer is one of the most talked-about contestants on the reality show. During the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman was seen discussing the feud between Archana Gautam and Shiv Thakare. He shared that whatever transpired between them was an ‘open and shut case of provocation'. Being a qualified lawyer, when he asked Nimrit what an open and shut case is, she went blank. She was not only schooled by the 56-year-old actor, but she also received criticism from netizens for her inability to explain the term. She later had a mental breakdown in front of Bigg Boss. Ex-contestant Diandra Soares extended her support to the 'Choti Sarrdaarni’ actress and questioned why she is a part of a game that would even leave the most sane person with issues. She wrote, "Clearly not yet recovered fully from her mental health issues. And is on a reality show that is mainly a show of mental strength. Even the most sane person can lose it there. She is on medication & all with whatever she been battling. And this is dangerous. #MentalHealthMatters"


For the unversed, Diandra participated in Bigg Boss 8, and her love affair with Gautam Gulati is still one of the most talked about topics of that time. Many fans also came out to support Nimrit and advised her to vent out her frustrations if it helps her mental health. Netizens pointed out that BB has done similar things with Umar Riaz.





Meanwhile, Nimrit Kaur is one of the strongest player in the house. In the latest episode, the TV actress talked about facing depression and anxiety in the Bigg Boss house and got emotional after which Abdu gave her a hug.
