Ever since entering Salman Khan’s reality show Bigg Boss 16, Gautam Vig has been facing the brunt of the other contestants, the hosts, as well as the audience. From being verbally abused for giving up the house ration to having his alleged love affair with Soundarya Sharma called fake, the actor has been through a lot. His ex-wife, Richa Gera, feels that because he was targeted over and over again, the actor has become too conscious to play the game.

In an interview with ETimes, Richa, actor Ankit Gera’s sister, who got divorced from Vig in December 2020, opened up about Gautam’s game. She revealed that Gautam is a very fun-loving guy, and he has become very conscious of his game after facing too many allegations from the contestants and Bigg Boss. She said, "Unhone zyada kheech diya Gautam ko aur itna nahi karna chahiye. You can’t pull him up for everything, be it for love and friendship. Itne allegations lagne ke baad koi bhi conscious hoga, as it’s on national television." Gera is an ardent follower of the reality show, and it was her dream to watch her ex-husband play the game and win it. She said that even if they are divorced, after bagging the show, Gautam had called her to let her know that he would be fulfilling her dream. Talking about his love angle with Soundarya Sharma, Richa, who pursued MBA in Human Resources, shares she is happy to see him move on. However, she feels they are rushing into a relationship. She told ETimes, "Jitna main Gautam ko jaanti hoon, he takes time to know a person and fall in love. I feel that it is attraction from both sides and not love. Gautam is better as a friend than as a boyfriend."

She further added that he is ruining his game by focusing more on love, she said, "They are now bound by the relationship. He can do really well if he focuses on the game and he is spoiling it by focusing more on love. Pyaar baahar aakar kar lo."
