Shalin Bhanot’s parents have written an open letter to Bigg Boss 16 makers expressing concern for their son's safety after MC Stan gave death threats
In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 16, a massive fight broke out between Shalin Bhanot and MC Stan during the nomination task. Both got aggressive and hurled abuses at each other, things got so worse between them that housemates intervened to stop their fight from getting violent. The rapper threatened Shalin saying his fans are watching outside and his warning left Shalin's parents quite worried. Bhanot’s mother and father have written an open letter to the makers of Bigg Boss expressing concern over their son’s and family's safety.
The letter is shared on Bhanot’s Instagram handle. His parents told the makers that threatening footage should not have been aired on national television. They added since the last episode, more threats have been pouring in from MC Stan’s fans on social media. Shalin Bhanot’s parent's letter read, “Namaste and thank you for all the love you have all been showering on our son Shalin. Shalin signed up for this truly amazing journey, one with lots of challenges. We are sure he will come out emerging as a winner of hearts and love. However, we are worried! Last night seeing our son get death threats on national television has been worrisome. They added, “It's a reality show but at the end of the day, it's for entertainment. Why are we bringing life and death and death threats in to this all? Our family is genuinely worried and we want to know how is this allowed on national television? We are worried about our son, his safety and the safety of our family! There's nothing beyond our son's happiness and safety that matters to us. From Shalin ke Mummy aur Papa.”
For the unversed, the new captain of the house MC Stan nominated Shalin’s close friend Tina Datta for eviction, and later Stan and Tina had a war of words. Defending the actress, Shalin got into a fight and slammed the rapper for nominating Datta. Later, things turned ugly between Stan and Shalin.
