In the latest episode of Bigg Boss 17, tensions flared once again between Abhishek Kumar and Samarth Jurel as their verbal sparring escalated in the kitchen area. Samarth began taunting Abhishek by referring to him as "Baap ka gatarchhap launda," provoking a reaction from Abhishek. The heated exchange continued with Abhishek retaliating, calling Samarth 'mental' and mentioning his incomplete treatment. Isha Malviya also joined in, engaging in a heated argument with her former boyfriend and Samarth. Amidst their altercation, Samarth threw a ball of tissue paper at Abhishek, triggering a swift and angry response as the Udariyaan actor retaliated by slapping Samarth. Following the intense altercation, Bigg Boss summoned Ankita Lokhande, Mannara Chopra, and Arun Mashettey into the confession room to address the heated clash between Abhishek and Samarth. During this discussion, Abhishek expressed his apologies to both Samarth and Isha for the conflict. Subsequently, Bigg Boss introduced a captaincy task wherein former captains Munawar Faruqui, Isha, and Aoora were tasked with selecting the new house captain. Furthermore, the trio ousted Ayesha Khan, Mashettey, Mannara, Samarth, and Vicky Jain from the task, narrowing down the contenders. Ultimately, Ankita Lokhande emerged victorious, clinching the title of the latest captain on the reality show.

Isha Malviya, Mannara Chopra, Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Ayesha Khan, Neil Bhatt, Samarth Jurel, Arun Mashettey, Soniya Bansal, Munawar Faruqui, Abhishek Kumar, Aoora and Rinku Dhawan are the contestants of the current season.
