Anurag Dobhal's recent eviction from the Bigg Boss 17 house has stirred some controversy. Joining the show on its first day alongside Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Munawar Faruqui, Mannara Chopra, and others, he formed a friendship with Arun Mahshettey and Sunny Tehelka, but their bond later soured. During the elimination task, Anurag faced eviction as most housemates voted against him. However, Mannara notably refrained from nominating him, despite their previous discord. Following his exit, the social media sensation made surprising allegations against the show's makers, claiming that the Bigg Boss 17 winner was predetermined, hinting that the outcome was fixed. He is known for his straightforward nature, and stood up against the show's makers even while inside the Bigg Boss 17 house. Despite facing various challenges, he vehemently defended himself against criticism. He said, "After my eviction, this is proved that Bigg Boss is no longer based on audience votes. They (makers) will choose one of their favourites as their winner. Speaking with DNA in an interview, Anurag opened up about his challenging experiences inside the house. He expressed moments of distress, admitting to feeling emotional and depressed at times. The evicted contestant further highlighted his efforts since day one but lamented receiving feedback that he wasn't contributing to the show.

He recalled instances where he was asked to dance, even though he wasn't skilled in dancing. Anurag firmly stated that he wouldn't compromise his self-respect by dancing inappropriately. He emphasized his efforts to engage and interact but questioned if the show portrayed his true involvement.


During a Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman Khan humorously advised Anurag Dobhal to step up his game. However, when the show host mentioned Brosena, Anurag took offense to it, feeling singled out and targeted.
