Gautam Gulati, who was seen in the eighth season of the reality show Bigg Boss, emerged as the winner of the show. He has acted in quite a few television shows over the years, and also in a few films. Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, there has been debate about nepotism in Bollywood and also the ‘outsider-insider’ debate gained momentum. Now, Gautam Gulati has also shared about his journey and how winning Bigg Boss didn’t just open up his career in films, but he had to actually go through many struggles. In a recent interview, he now claimed that Ekta Kapoor cut his role in the first film.

While speaking with Navbharat Times online, Gautam Gulati revealed that his actual struggle began after he won the reality show. He shared that he had no helping hand in the industry and that he couldn’t do the kind of films he wanted to. He also revealed that in his very first film, Ekta Kapoor cut his role. He revealed that he had a 3 film deal with Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Films, but his role had been chopped from the very first film, after which he tried contacting them, but was ignored. Defeated, he revealed that he broke his contract with them.

“I had a three-film deal with Balaji. I was very happy. But when my role was cut in the very first film, I was disappointed. I thought what was happening to me? After the first film, I kept calling and got no answer. Defeated, I had to break the contract.”
