In a recent interview, he now claimed that Ekta Kapoor cut his role in the first film.

While speaking with Navbharat Times online, Gautam Gulati revealed that his actual struggle began after he won the reality show. He shared that he had no helping hand in the industry and that he couldn’t do the kind of films he wanted to. He also revealed that in his very first film, Ekta Kapoor cut his role. He revealed that he had a 3 film deal with Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Films, but his role had been chopped from the very first film, after which he tried contacting them, but was ignored. Defeated, he revealed that he broke his contract with them.
