Actress Yuvika Chaudhary was arrested on Monday in connection with allegedly using a casteist slur in a video. Yuvika, who was booked under the SC/ST Act, was later granted interim bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. ANI quoted the actress' lawyer Ashok Bishnoi as, 'My client has joined the investigation as per the guidelines given by the High Court and she is on interim bail now (in a case of alleged offensive remarks against Scheduled Castes on a social media platform)."
Yuvika landed in trouble six months back when she used a casteist slur in a vlog, which did not go down well with many and she was trolled for it. She had later posted an apology for hurting people's sentiments and also mentioned that she didn't know the meaning of it.
"Hi guys I didn't know the meaning of that word that I used in my last vlog. I didn't mean to hurt anyone and I can never do that to hurt someone. I apologise to each and everyone. I hope you all understand and love you all," she wrote. Yuvika's husband and reality TV star Prince Narula came out in support of his wife and commented, "Baby jo hua galti se hua. Don't worry main aapke saath hoon aur aapne maafi bhi maang li hai so I love you." Prince once again reacted to the controversy while interacting with the paparazzi. He said that they don't believe in castes and that if they did, they wouldn't have been able to get married to each other.
