The second season of Bigg Boss OTT started with a bang. Hosted by Salman Khan, the reality show has been making the headlines for all the right reasons. It has become one of the trending topics on social media. Recently the atmosphere in the house became a bit tense when Jiya Shankar, Abhishek Malhan, and Akanksha Puri were caught discussing openly about the nominations, a violation of the show’s rules.

This led to the other contestants being enraged as they confronted the trio. Soon realising her mistakes, Jiya took to the initiative to apologise to everyone and promised to not offer any justification. Filmmaker Pooja Bhat saw this as an opportunity to school the actress about the consequences of her actions. Talking about the same she expressed how bewildered she was when she came to know that despite signing contracts, how can well-educated individuals make such mistakes. The 51-year-old stressed on the fact that if one aspires to succeed in the entertainment industry, they have to be good human beings first as “this industry doesn’t solely prioritise talent and looks.” She goes on to state that looks fade away with time, but a good character makes one stand out. She went on to share how respect, honour and dignity has to be earned. Quoted by India.com, “I have tried my best with this boy (Abhishek Malhan). I even gave a silly heart in the weekend ka vaar as part of a gesture to make him feel comfortable. I was not trying to butter him up. I want to tell you young people who want to become number one and conquer the industry that develops character. It is not always about talent. There will be a day when we all will have to nominate each other but we can’t buy honour and dignity, it is earned. Respect had to be earned.”

The show currently consists of contestants like Falaq Naaz, Jiya Shankar, Abhishek Malhan, Akanksha Puri, Bebika Dhurve, Avinash Sachdev, Cyrus Broacha, Pooja Bhatt, Manisha Rani, Jad Hadid and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s ex-wife Aaliya Siddiqui. The reality show has seen two evictions so far, Puneet Superstar and Palak Purswani.
