Bigg Boss OTT's Raqesh Bapat Says His Relationship With Shamita Shetty Is Not Fake; Adds The Show Taught Him To Be 'Calm In The Chaos'
Bigg Boss OTT's Raqesh Bapat opens up about his bond with Shamita Shetty and his experience on the show.
Divya Agarwal emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss OTT last weekend. Choreographer Nishant Bhat was declared as the first runner-up and Shamita Shetty was announced as the second runner-up. Raqesh Bapat, who was also in the race, managed to grab the fourth position. Talking about Raqesh, in particular, he made headlines since the first day for multiple reasons, including his growing closeness with Shamita Shetty while on the show. People, however, had their doubts over the 'real'ness of the bond.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Divya stated that Raqesh and Shamita's relationship was a 'reality show pairing'. But Raqesh begs to differ.
Raqesh recently opened up about his bond with Shamita and said that their relationship is not 'fake'. Speaking to BollywoodLife, he said, "We are in touch and it's nice. I told her that let's meet outside because the house doesn't really tell you much about the other person. And yes, we do speak and what you all saw in the Bigg Boss OTT house is not something fake. Raqesh also shared why he thinks people felt the actress tried to control him while inside the BB house. "I have always been a rebel since childhood. I used to do exactly the opposite of what my parents used to tell me. So, there is a way how a person should make me understand or speak to me." He added that Shamita has strong opinions and that doesn't make her dominating. The actress behaves the way she does because she cares about the people who are close to her. "She voices her opinion and she is expressive. Whereas I am not expressive and quiet," he said.
Raqesh also said the show taught him a lot. While speaking to ETimes, he opened up about the things he learned from the show. "I realised that there are two worlds - one outside the Bigg Boss house and one inside it. There are issues inside the house which are not real in the outside world. The interpersonal issues, fights, friendships were a concern inside the house. Bigg Boss taught me how to be calm in the chaos," he said. The actor also revealed that he has been approached by the makers of Bigg Boss 15. "Talks are on. Let's see what happens finally," he said. For the uninitiated, Shamita Shetty will be entering the Bigg Boss 15 house. Bigg Boss OTT's Pratik Sehajpal and Nishant Bhat are also confirmed to be a part of the Salman Khan-hosted show.
