Broken But Beautiful Season 2’s actress Pooja Bhamrrah speaks exclusively to SpotboyE.com about the series, gives her take on broken relationships and infidelity, and also talks about Vikrant Massey who happens to be her uncle in real life
Model-turned-actress Pooja Bhamrrah has been receiving praises for her portrayal of Porno in the ALTBalaji show Broken But Beautiful 2. The series stars Harleen Sethi and Vikrant Massey in main roles and Pooja plays Harleen’s BFF. The actress was also there in the first part, but she tells us that this time “there was much more layering to the character”.
In an exclusive conversation with SpotboyE.com, Pooja speaks about her role, she also talks about broken marriages and infidelity. So, in the show, her character of Porno is in a dilemma because her cousin brother Ahan played by Gaurav Arora is dating Harleen Sethi aka Sameera, her bestie.
We asked her how difficult was it to choose between either of them and she explained that it’s the most toughest thing to do. “Imagine, if you had to choose between your brother and your best friend. It is impossible. So the kind of emotional trauma that the person goes through is horrible,” says Pooja.
As the show Broken But Beautiful delves into broken relationships, we asked her what she thinks about infidelity and broken marriages that have been on the rise of late.
Pooja tells us that she is pretty old school in her thoughts and states that nowadays, people don’t want to put the extra effort to make things work out and that’s where everything goes wrong. “For any relation to nourish, it needs hard work from both sides.”
Speaking about her own relationships, she says, “I’m an old soul in a new body. I believe in one person at a time. I have had relationships in the past. One went on for a year and a half, then one went on for 3 years, so I believe in longevity in relationships. Even though I have tried one-night stands, it doesn’t happen. We are not wired that way. I come from a place where if you’re in a relationship you need to put your effort.”
Well, there had been whispers that she is related to Vikrant Massey in reality and she lets the cat out of the bag. “Vikrant is my chacha because his cousin is my bua. All this while, I though he is my cousin. But when I met my bua, she told me that Vikrant is my uncle. So I learnt of this only recently.”
What was Vikrant’s reaction when he discovered of it? Pooja says, “At a recent party, I told him about it. He was shocked and happy at the same time.” Now that she knows he is her chacha, does she address him that way? “Well, of course not as it’s pretty embarrassing, says Pooja who continues addressing him as Vikrant.”
The actress who has been part of films like Fanney Khan and The Zoya Factor has a lot in-store, but chooses to stay mum on her future projects.
