Chahatt Khanna Says She Has Never Watched Her Own Shows, Slams TV Content: ‘They Make A Fool Out Of The Audience’
Chahatt Khanna revealed that she hasn’t watched her own shows and that she finds TV content silly. She also opened up about her plan to shoot another video with Mika Singh after Quarantine Love
Chahatt Khanna hit the headlines a few weeks ago amid lockdown, for her song ‘Quarantine Love’ with Bollywood singer Mika Singh. Chahatt has been a part of several television shows over the years such as Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, Qubool Hai, Kumkum, among others. However, Chahatt has now revealed that she has never watched her own shows, and in fact, finds TV content silly. In a recent interview, she opened up about OTT platforms, how the television industry is making a fool out of people, and also about the plan she had for another video with Mika Singh.
While speaking to Indian Express, Chahatt Khanna said that she is an OTT person and that in near future, it is going to take over. Opening up about television content, she said, “I have never watched television. In fact, I have never seen my shows. TV is very silly. I cannot relate to ‘naagin yahan dance kar rahi hai, chudail wala dance kar rahi hai. Iske pati ne jadu tona kardiya hai. Uski patni bol rahi hai ki main apne pati ko maut ke muh se laungi…’ I cannot relate to such stuff. I am one of them but I have not done any such work. ‘Humari bholi bhali audience ko itna pagal banate hai TV wale’ (They make a fool out of the audience).”
She further said that watching saas-bahu serials corrupts people’s minds and that she herself tells her friends to not watch TV. “I know it is my bread-butter but then you cannot play with people’s mind like that. However, as an actor, it is a safe medium because of its predictability. I can be a part of a series like Bade Acche Lagte Hain but cannot be daayan or chudail,” she said.
Chahatt Khanna also shared that she had planned another video with Mika Singh. “We had planned to shoot another video but then the lockdown happened and my building was in the containment zone and later, I was not keeping well.
