Charu Asopa REVEALS She Was Battling Postpartum Depression: I Used To Feel Isolated, All Alone, It Was Bad'
Popular TV actress Charu Asopa is the latest actress to have confessed to battling postpartum depression. Sushmita Sen’s sister-in-law was going through a difficult phase of depression after giving birth to a baby girl. In a recent interview, she opened up about her struggle with postpartum depression and stated that she used to 'feel isolated.' Charu also revealed how work helped her to come out of this. She mentioned that she use to feel good while working. 

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Charu said, “I used to feel isolated, all alone at that time… It was bad. I think my work only helped me to get out of it. Because when I used to do little ad campaigns, I used to feel good. So, whenever I work I feel good and that helped me in my postpartum depression also. The actress also pointed out that the conversations and the ways to deal with postpartum depression are not enough. Charu mentioned that depression is still looked down upon as people do not discuss it openly. She opined depression should be discussed so that people start feeling normal about it.

For the unversed, last year, Charu Asopa welcomed her first child, baby girl Ziana with her husband Rajeev Sen. She recently made headlines after she posted a video of herself riding a cycle with her little daughter tied to her back. Charu got brutally trolled by several netizens for risking the life of her little daughter.  

On the work front, Asopa is known for playing Atkhati Pari in the TV series Baalveer, Preeti in ‘Mere Angne Mein’ and Piyali in the daily soap ‘Jiji Maa.’
