Coronavirus Lockdown: Police Complaint Filed Against TikTok Star Faisal Shaikh For Shooting Outdoor Amid Lockdown
TikTok star Faisal Shaikh has landed into hot waters, as a lawyer has submitted a written complaint against him for shooting outside despite the Coronavirus lockdown
The rapid growth in Coronavirus cases across India has created a countrywide stir, resulting in the lockdown. Amid the same, all the citizens are asked to stay in their houses and get out only if there’s an emergency. However, if the online reports are anything to go by, Tik Tok star Faisal Shaikh seems to have violated the guidelines. As per Bombay Times, Three days ago, Faisal Shaikh had gotten outside to shoot a video. As a consequence of which, a written complaint has been filed against him at the Amboli Police Station and the Cyber Crime Cell on Monday evening.
Advocate Ali Kaashif Khan, who has submitted the complaint, said the tabloid, “In the video, which Faisal uploaded three days ago, he can be seen venturing out of his building and mouthing a popular Nawazuddin Siddiqui dialogue — ‘Maut ko chhookar tak se wapas aa sakta hoon’. At a time like this, we should be ensuring everyone’s safety by practising social distancing. Instead, Faisal, who is an influencer with so many people following him in India and abroad, is provoking others.”
He added, “There was also another video featuring Faisal along with Hasnain Khan, Sohail and Faiz Baloch out on the streets. I have also mentioned them in my complaint, but they have claimed that their videos are old. Faisal has now deleted the video, but the damage is done.”
BT also got in touch with the Amboli Police Station officials to get a confirmation on this new, to which, they said, “An application has been submitted, we are looking into the matter.”
Coincidentally, Ali Kaashif Khan was the same lawyer, who had helped Faisal Khan in securing bail when he was embroiled into a controversy in 2017 for posting an objectionable video. As a result, his Tik Tok account was also suspended.
