Actress Urmila Matondkar will grace this weekend's episode of the dance reality show, Dance Deewane 3. Among the many hits she gave, Rangeela proved to be a path-breaking movie in Urmila's career. In the movie, Urmila starred alongside Aamir Khan and Jackie Shroff and garnered praise for their performance. On the dance show, Urmila made a candid revelation about her co-star Aamir Khan. The actress said she had a letter to Mr Aamir Perfectionist Khan which she termed as her fan letter.
Sharing this anecdote on the show, Urmila mentioned that while dubbing for Rangeela when she happened to watch Aamir’s performance, she was floored - so much so that in her letter she guaranteed him that he shall receive praiseworthy letters for his performance, adding he shall also receive awards for it. Colors TV Instagram post carried a clip of the actress praising the contestants and making this candid confession.
She said, “Very few people know that when I was dubbing for Rangeela, I watched Aamir's performance and I was stunned. I wrote him a letter in which I wrote, 'You'll get many letters after this performance and you'll get awards as well. But this will be the first fan letter you'll get.”
Rangeela released in 1995. Though it bagged Aamir a nomination in the Best Actor category at the Filmfare Awards, he lost to Shah Rukh Khan, who won the award for Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge.
