TV star Devoleena Bhattacharjee has a good amount of fan following. Now, one of her female fans just cannot stop thanking the actress. The fan in question is Ramya whose sister-in-law desperately needed the rare O negative blood a little before she went into labour.

Ramya turned for help to Veera, a page that's  Veera's colaboration with Devoleena and her cry for help was almost instantly answered. She tweeted her thanksgiving promptly

Yesterday my brother's wife  was admitted in hospital for delivery at that time she needed O- ve blood group.blood wasn't available in hospital. It's Quite impossible to get that because of during lock down (1/3) I contacted Devoleena helping hands Veera has responded and he contacted her relatives &friends from there. Finally we got the donor who's your fan from Chennai
Amidst the lock down. He walked bare foot 10 Kms to gave blood to my sister in law. He reached at the right time (2/3)"


Now,  who is Veera?  Liittle did anybody know that the Veera page on FB is a stop to seek aid if and when one needs. Devoleena was extremely reluctant at first to talk about this when we called her this evening and she wanted to how we'd stumbled upon the information of her role behind the scenes in Veera. Eventually,  she said, ""Yes,  I do offer help to people who reach out to me in their tough times and this Veera is a page run by my fan who's now a friend. I am just doing my bit. It makes me happy."

Adding to the joy of the new parents, the child (daughter) has been named after Devoleena- Devoshmitha Iyer
