Yesterday, we woke up to the happy news of Ekta Kapoor becoming a mother. The TV czarina is on cloud nine ever since she welcomed little Ravie Kapoor into her life. She even took to social media and revealed the name of her son with two adorable posts. With the arrival of her baby boy, Ekta becomes the first Indian female celebrity to embrace motherhood via surrogacy.
Well, yes! You read that right! If a report in Bombay Times is anything to go by, it suggests, “It is for the first time in India that a female celebrity has chosen the route of surrogacy and become a single mother.” A couple of years back, her brother Tusshar also became a father via surrogacy.
A source close to the actress revealed to Bombay Times, “She was keenly involved in the entire process. She would take constant updates about the mother and baby’s health at every stage from the doctor. It was her pure determination to become a mother that made this happen.”
Taking to social media, an ecstatic Ekta Kapoor had posted, “By God’s grace, I have seen many successes in my life, but nothing beats the feeling of this beautiful soul being added to my world. I cannot even begin to express how happy my baby’s birth has made me. Everything in life doesn’t go the way you want it to, but there are always solutions to those hiccups. I found mine and today I feel immensely blessed to have become a parent. It is an emotional moment for me and my family and I can’t wait to begin this new journey of being a mother.”
This morning, her father Jeetendra aka Ravi Kapoor shared his excitement on the baby’s arrival and several B-Townies and TV celebs too have been sharing their excitement by wishing the newly turned mother.
