Dipika Kakar Slams Netizens Accusing Husband Shoaib Ibrahim’s Family Of Treating Her Like A Maid
Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim in their Wednesday night live session pinned down the trolls criticising their family and calling them old school
One of the most favourite couples of the Indian television industry, Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim has given a befitting reply to negative comments about their family. During the couple’s live session that was hosted on Wednesday, the actors slammed people who trolled Shoaib’s family the way they treat Dipika. Though he tried to explain to people his perspective, Dipika ended up yelling at people criticising his family. A certain section of netizens had earlier criticised Shoaib's family for invading into the actress' privacy and treating her like a maid.
Shoaib’s father recently suffered a brain stroke and remained hospitalised for 3 weeks. As his father returned home, the couple accommodated him in their bedroom, while they shifted to the guest room, majorly keeping in mind his comfort. Reacting to this, a few fans messaged Shoaib: “Uski privacy le li (You have taken her privacy)." To this end, Dipika said, "These are the kind of messages you have been dropping to him. You should be ashamed of yourself.”
She continued, “Even in such difficult times you all are pointing out such futile things and trying to troll us. I pity you guys. My in-laws have treated me like a daughter and it’s only right that I love and care for them as my own. If for them, we have to even sleep in the car or roadside, we are ready to do it. And in case you guys are saying all this out of concern, then get lost, I don’t need such concern.”

Shoaib, on his part, said, “Aaplog kehte ho ke actor ko naukrani bana diya hai (You guys say we have made an actor a servant at home).” Dipika added she feels proud that she is able to manage her work as well as home, single-handedly. She said criticism also came her way when she chose to stay back at home and take it easy on the work front, and even when she chose to work.
Commenting on people’s state of mind who constantly target her and her family, she said, “I think they are frustrated in their own lives and can thus never find satisfaction and happiness. I have worked tirelessly for years and now it’s my choice to do fewer projects and focus on my domestic life. I also get questioned about my dressing, well, it’s my choice. As an actor, one doesn’t always have to deck up or wear short clothes. At the end of the day, it’s about one’s comfort and choice. On the end note, the couple cleared they won’t take any negative comments for their family. Dipika too added that she is happy irrespective of their way of living, which is "orthodox, conservative and old school."
