Divyanka Tripathi Expresses Displeasure Over Her Name Getting Attached To Vivek Dahiya, 'Everyone Wants To Be Known By Their Own Work'
The discussion around nepotism has only doubled up in the wake of Sushant Singh Rajput's demise. Amid the same, popular TV star Divyanka Tripathi has expressed her two cents on more or less the same. Taking to her Twitter, the actress expressed her displeasure on news portals addressing Vivek Dahiya as her husband instead of giving him an identity of his own. As per Divyanka, this is how the vicious circle of nepotism begins. She requested everyone to stop the cycle of using a person's relative or spouse's name and recognise them by his/her work.

In response to a portal that tagged Vivek Dahiya as Divyanka's husband, the latter asserted, "Why don't they refer to it as @VivekDahiya08 and wifey? It wasn't even my post! I'm here since eons but does the industry give new talent much deserved respect? Let's not cry fowl on name of nepotism. Vicious circle starts here! Not targeting one. Pointing at a common practice." She added, "Why are the attachments needed to address people-someone's daughter, son, spouse? Unless news and all in general start respecting sole identities, nepotism won't stop. Everyone wants to be known by their own work. #AcceptIndividualTalent #StopNepotism #EqualityForAll."

Lastly, Divyanka urged everyone to let individuality prevail by tweeting, "If celebs adhere by the attachments given, you call them nepotist and if they don't they are referred to as 'insecure'! STOP THIS CYCLE OF USING NAMES OF SPOUSES AND RELATIVES! Allow individuality to prevail. #AcceptIndividualTalent #StopNepotism #EqualityForAll."

Fans were quick to pour in their support for Divyanka and hailed her for raising her voice with utmost courage and confidence.
