Divyanka Tripathi Takes A Dig At Woman Promoting ‘No Bindi No Business’, Feels ‘Wearing Should Be A Human Right’
Actress Divyanka Tripathi does not mince words. She never shies away from taking a stand on the issues that interest her. Recently, the actress was seen weighing in on a netizen’s tweet, questioning women's choices of dressing up.

The user, who is seemingly an author, tweeted “Speaking for myself. Not buying anything for #Deepawali from any brand that shows model without a bindi. #nobindinobusiness.”

Well, this did not seem to go well with Divyanka and she ended up lashing out at the author.

Slamming the Twitter user, Divyanka wrote, “No bindi no business? It should be a woman's choice what she wants to wear! Hinduism is about respecting choices! Next you'll want purda-system & then Satipratha back? Why should any culture be measured by women's dressing? I'm further shocked when women propagate such concepts!”

Later, Divyanka posted a picture of herself all decked up in ethnic wear and ‘no bindi’.

Sharing the picture on Instagram, Divyanka wrote, “Wearing what your heart desires, not what the world tells you isn't man's or woman's, it should be a basic human right. Waiting to see a rational & evolved society someday.”

Divyanka went a step ahead and replied to users with the ‘extremist’ school of thought. She went on to explain how everyone has the right to wear any attire or ornaments they preferred.

Replying to a user, she wrote, “I'm a Brahman girl, but I can choose not to wear bindi. Green colour is of Maa Katyayni too signifying growth. You can't take away my green from my wardrobe on any day. To support one cause don't suppress another! #extremism. Women have fought hard for a free will in our society.”
