Dysfunctional Family With Shekhar Suman In The Centre Again But It's NOT Dekh Bhai Dekh Yet!- EXCLUSIVE
Dekh Bhai Dekh is not being reloaded for web space as rumours suggested sometime ago, at least not yet. But Shekhar Suman is coming up with something else that sounds very interesting
There have been rumours in the TV industry that Shekhar Suman is planning the hugely popular show Dekh Bhai Dekh as a web series with Anand Mahendroo. For now, the two have combined on another project which will be produced by Shekhar and directed by Anand and it is NOT Dekh Bhai Dekh. This one he tells SpotboyE.com EXCLUSIVELY, "It can be on a big channel as a TV series and appear as wen series on the same channel's OTT platform."
But the story again revolves around a dysfunctional family. Shekhar further said, "It will be interesting to go into the web space as well. It was my idea about this venture to Anand. I went to him. We fleshed it out. I gave him two writers and hinted to him how I wanted the characters to be. I have been creatively involved," says Shekhar Suman, who will obviously have one of the central roles in it.
SpotboyE.com has it that Shekhar and Anand are planning to approach some movie stars to be a part of the cast, one of the names being massively big.
"Dekh Bhai Dekh will come again but it might be a film or a TV show again. Let's see, we are working on it no doubt. But my first collaboration with Anand after Dekh Bhai Dekh is not Dekh Bhai Dekh again."
The story of Dekh Bhai Dekh show revolved around three generations of the Diwan family, who live as an extended family in an ancestral bungalow in the suburbs of Mumbai. The story takes the family through relationship troubles, business problems, irksome parents, and in-laws.. The Appointment-Viewing show (which premiered on 6/5/93) starred Navin Nischol, Sushma Seth, Farida Jalal, Shekhar Suman, Bhavna Balsavar, Vishal Singh, Deven Bhojani, Nattasha Singh, Amar Upadhyay, Satish Shah and Sunny Singh in main roles.
