Time and trends have changed and now many celebrities are taking up OTT projects. OTT has given platform and work to many artists who were earlier looking for a stage to showcase their talent. Many telly stars have also shifted to digital platforms where they are getting their much-awaited due. From Sakshi Tanwar to Jennifer Winget, many leading ladies made their comeback with an OTT project. However, there are a few actresses who have turned down an offer to work in web series because of a similar reason.
Starting with Erica Fernandes, she is one of the brilliant actors in the industry. The actress who is also the recipient of the DadaSaheb Phalke Award refused to work in web series due to bold and adult content. Reportedly, the actress was approached for a web series but she turned down the offer as she was told to do bold scenes. Talking about the same with a leading daily, Erica said that she is not comfortable doing bold shows and content. She revealed that she has been getting shows that demand bold content but she denied being a part of them as she feels that sometimes scenes are forcefully added to sell the show.
Next on the list is Urfi Javed who rose to fame because of Bigg Boss OTT. Earlier, during an interaction with paparazzi, Urfi had said that she has been getting offers from the web shows but she doesn’t want to become a part of any show that promotes bold content. She also admitted that because of her ‘bold image’ she has been receiving such offers.
Although Begum Jaan actress and Bigg Boss 7 winner Gauahar Khan has worked in many web shows, the actress too has refused offers that demanded intimate scenes in it. On the personal front, Gauahar is married to dancer and content creator Zaid Darbar.
