Excuse Me Madam: Rajesh Kumar On The Show Going Off Air: ‘We Were Very Disappointed, It Was A Setback For Everyone’
Star Bharat show, Excuse Me Madam that first aired in September 2020 was pulled down recently, months after going on air. The show is about a married man, Sanam (played by Rajesh Kumar) who is smitten with his beautiful boss (played by Nyra Bannerjee). He tries to impress her, while his wife (played by Sucheta Khanna) suspects his loyalties. However, the show did not garner enough TRPs due to which the makers decided to pull the chords. Speaking about the show going off-air, the Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai star is disappointed and said that ‘it was a setback for everyone’.

Rajesh told Times of India, "We were very disappointed when we got to know that the show will end soon. It was a setback for everyone. We had just resumed work after sitting at home for months due to the pandemic. And after just three months of resuming work, we were told that the show will wrap up in just 20 days. It’s difficult for any actor but at the same time, I understand that there are several factors responsible for it. Maybe, it didn’t get the TRPs which the makers were hoping for. OTT has also posed a great challenge for television viewership.”

Earlier, while shooting for the show, Rajesh was diagnosed with the COVID-19, due to which he had to stop shooting the show for nearly 20 days in September. SpotboyE.com even got in touch with the actor and asked about his health update, to which he said, "Testing positive for Covid-19 is surely not a good news, but yes I did take the necessary steps and home quarantined myself. I have been following all the medications and direction given by my doctor. My health has improved and everyone has been very supportive, right from my family, friends, colleagues, my current shows makers and the channel."
