Legal troubles seem to be pouring in for controversy queen Rakhi Sawant as FIR has been filed against the actress for allegedly 'mocking' the Adivasi tribal community and their clothes. Sawant recently shared a video on her Instagram account where she was seen dressed up in the tribal community’s attire as she showed off her sexy dance moves. A certain section of people got offended by the video including, the president of the Central Sarna Committee of Jharkhand, Ajay Tirkey, who has filed an FIR against Rakhi for 'hurting the feelings' of the tribal community.
As per Etimes TV report, in his complaint, Ajay Tirkey said that Rakhi was wearing a “semi-nude" outfit that he said 'demeans' the tribal women and has insulted the community.” The report added that Tirkey mentioned that the members of the community will stage a violent protest until Sawant offers an apology. He also demanded strict and immediate action against the actress under suitable sections of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. In the video, Rakhi said, "Hey guys aap mera yeh look dekh rahe hai aaj...poora tribal looks...poora adivasi jisko hum kehte hain.”
However, Rakhi Sawant has now issued an apology saying that she does not intend to hurt the sentiments of the tribal community. The Bigg Boss 15 contestant mentioned that she does not mean to disrespect anyone with her remarks on ‘adivasi’ that she used in the video. She further explained that she posted that video to tease about her upcoming music video where she plays the role of a tribal girl from Africa.
"I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart. Forgive your beti,” Sawant said.
