Ghanshyam Nayak Death: TMKOC Actors Munmun Dutta, Jennifer Mistry And Others Pay Heartfelt Tributes To Their Nattu Kaka
The entire team of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has paid an emotional tribute to veteran actor Ghanshyam Nayak on social media

Veteran actor Ghanshyam Nayak, who was best known for playing Nattu Kaka in the popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, died on Sunday after battling cancer. His tragic demise has left the entire TV fraternity, especially his Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actors heartbroken. The entire cast and crew of TMKOC are mourning his sad demise. His co-actors, including Munmun Dutta, Sonalika Joshi, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, Ambika Ranjankar and others paid their heartfelt tribute to Ghanshyam on social media.
Sharing her couple of photos with Ghanshyam, Munmun got emotional while penning her thoughts about the actor. She posted a long note to express her grief over Nayak’s demise. She wrote, “The first picture is the last time that I met him. His fighting spirit and inspirational words, in the face of adversity , is what I remember the most... He would fondly call me ‘Dikri’ and considered me his daughter. He shared so much laughter with all of us. I fondly remember him sharing his struggle stories from his younger days.”
She added, “Have been a celebrated artist all his life. More than anything, I will always remember him as this absolutely genuine and a ‘cute’ person when he spoke. The last year has been so difficult on him due to his deteriorating health. Inspite of it, he wanted to keep working and stay positive always.”
Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal also recalled the time she spent with the senior actor saying that Ghanshyam Nayak always used to call her a naughty cat. She captioned the post, “Unbelievable...He always met me with this kavita AA TOOFANI CHOKRI...BILADI NI TOKRI ( he used to call me naughty cat)...he had this smile on his face whenever he met anyone, never saw him angry or upset ... i saw him since childhood in movies, never thought will be working with him... so down to earth human being... RIP Ghanshyam Uncle (Nattu Kaka)...You will be missed...”
Ambika Ranjankar too posted her photo with Ghanshyam Nayak and said, “There was never a dull moment with you around.. I'm sure the God's are entertained because of you. May your soul attain sadgati. Will miss your positivity, love, concern and all the talks you had while the in between the time we got during our shoots. #maypeacebewithyou.”

The official social media handles of the show also shared a note saying that Ghanshyam Nayak was an invaluable member of their TMKOC family. The post on Twitter read, “It pains us to inform you all with a heavy heart about the demise of Mr Ghanshyam Nayak ji who played the role of Nattu Kaka in #TMKOC. Ghanshyam ji has been a invaluable member of our TMKOC family for all the 13 years of our time.”
Senior actor Ghanshyam Nayak was cremated on Monday. Several of his team members including creator Asit Kumarr Modi and his co-stars including Dilip Joshi, Bhavya Gandhi attended his last rites.
