Happy Father's Day 2020: Mahhi Vij Says, 'My Father Didn’t Teach Me Anything And I'm Glad'
Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali's little princess Tara is celebrating her first Father's Day and there is much to be thankful for. Read Mahhi's personal account of her relationship with her dad.
The relationship between a father and daughter is a very special one, it’s a unique bond quite different from the one daddies share with their sons. While daughters are known to look up to their fathers for guidance, actress Mahhi Vij’s relationship with her father is unique, one she plans to follow through with her daughter Tara Jai Bhanushali. “My father has been a pillar of strength for me but he never taught me anything and I am glad he didn’t," says the actress.
She adds, "It is the best thing he could do. He wanted me to have my own experiences and use my mind and that helped me to have my journey and my experiences,” says Mahhi Vij. Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi were blessed with Tara 10 months ago on 21st August 2019.
Speaking of what parenting lesson she would like to incorporate from her upbringing into that of Tara’s, Mahhi informs, “I plan to follow the same with Tara and not teach her or put things into her mind."
"I will be there for her and guide her as my father did but at the same time I want her to be a free-minded girl, take her own decisions, learn from her own mistakes and not look up to me every time she falters," concludes Mahhi.
