‘I Can't Do Shows Focused Just On Erotica, Lesbian Sex, Threesome,’ Says Pooja Bisht; Also Talks About Her Short Film, The Bridge- EXCLUSIVE
Pooja Bisht is ready to entertain fans with her upcoming short film, The Bridge. The actress spoke to us about her new project and more
Pooja Bisht is all set with her latest short film, titled The Bridge. The film has been directed by Smriti Singh and produced by Wicked Witch Entertainment. The film, which brings forward the changing ideologies of the generations, also stars Choti Sardarni fame actor, Hitesh Bhardwaj and senior actor Suneel Sinha- as they play son and father. Pooja plays Hitesh’s love interest in the film.
We got talking to Pooja about her new project and she told us why she bagged the opportunity right away, “The director of the film, Smriti Singh, is a very dear friend of mine. So, while writing the story, she thought that the character is very similar to me. Also, the creative director of the film, Varun Bhatla recommended me for it. And that’s how I got casted.”
Pooja is playing the character of a happy-go-lucky girl, called Riya, who is practical and has an individualistic approach towards life.
We then asked her what’s more on the platter and Pooja said, “I am presently doing a Hindi film titled Koka Kola with Sunny Leone and a few more web films and shows.”
Pooja also spoke to us about why she has been rejecting scripts which have come to her in large numbers over the years. “As an actor I am comfortable with lovemaking and kissing scenes if it’s the demand of the script and the content is strong enough but I have been rejecting a lot of projects due to erotic content and foul language in the past, where it seemed just unnecessary to me.”
We then asked her what is the reason she is not seen on television often, and Pooja said, “There is no doubt that Televison is huge in India and has a massive following but at the same time it’s very hectic and tiring. Right now, my focus is to bring the best out of me by choosing content which gives me time and space to explore myself and my craft.”
Pooja also added how she wants people to know her for her acting skills and not just bold content. “I want people to notice me for my acting and not just skin show. Most of the erotic shows are about lovemaking, threesome , lesbian sex, which I can’t relate to. More so because I don’t see all this happening anywhere near me in real life. I find it just a way to lure audience to the show,” concluded Pooja.
