Imlie: Aditya AKA Gashmeer Mahajani All Set To Bid Adieu To The Show; This ACTOR Shortlisted To Replace Him
Gashmeer Mahajani, who plays Aditya Tripathi in the show, makes an announcement of sorts about quitting 'Imlie' on social media
Speak of the most popular TV shows and Star Plus’s 'Imlie' surely makes it to the list. Gashmeer Mahajani and Sumbul Touqeer starrer daily soap has been keeping its viewers all hooked with its surprising twists and turns. While many adore Gashmeer- Sumbul’s chemistry on the show here is some bad news for their fans. Gashmeer, who plays Aditya Tripathi in the show, made an announcement of sorts about quitting the show on social media.
He wrote, “Unthread-Unplug-Detach-Cut-Gone (sic).” In fact, a source close to the development revealed to ETimes that Gashmeer had put in his papers a few weeks ago and that the producer Gul Khan wasn't able to agree to some of the terms and conditions laid down by Gashmeer. The insider was quoted saying, “This did not happen overnight. Gashmeer had put in his papers a few weeks ago. The makers were however trying to convince him to stay back since he is the face of the show and the track focuses on him and female lead Sumbul Touqeer Khan. But all efforts went in vain when the producer Gul Khan wasn't able to agree to some of the terms and conditions laid down by Gashmeer.”
The report added Gashmeer finally decided to quit the show as he was not able to take up other projects. He reportedly used to give only 10 days in a month to the makers to shoot his sequence which was not enough. His last day will be in mid-January.
As per the Tellychakkar report, the makers have shortlisted actor Aditya Tiwari as a replacement for Gashmeer.
