Indian Idol 11 judge Anu Malik has been facing severe backlash from many people since his comeback on the show as a judge despite several #MeToo allegations against him. Since SonyTV has brought back Anu Malik on the judging panel of the show, Sona Mohapatra has been constantly slamming the channel and the co-judges for their ignorance on the issue. As things have not been going down well for Malik, the singer announced his voluntary exit from the show. Malik’s this voluntary break from the show comes after National Commission For Women sends a notice to Sony TV  has been constantly accused.

Today, the National Commission For Women took to their official Twitter account to share the details regarding the issue behind #MeToo accused Indian Idol 11 judge Anu Malik and his voluntary break from the show. The NCW tweeted a picture of the official notice sent by them to channel Sony TV. The NCW’s post read, “@NCWIndia has taken Suo-moto cognizance of a Twitter post shared by @sonamohapatra wherein it's alleged @SonyTV has ignored testimonies of multiple women against a person regarding sexual harassment and made him a Judge for a talent show for youngsters on National television,” and explained about the reason behind Anu Malik’s voluntary break from the show as a judge. In the tweet shared, the NCW has clearly explained how the channel has ignored the testimonies of multiple women against Malik regarding sexual harassment and made him a Judge on the show for youngsters. While NCW took the required action against the issue prolonging since days, Anu Malik recently announced his break while talking to ETimes. The Indian Idol 11 judge shared that it is a voluntary decision and added that he would return only once he clears his name from the #MeToo allegations made against him.



Recently, Anu Malik broke his stoic silence in a penned down note shared on social media by him. In the note, Malik spoke about the allegations made at him and called them false. Sona Mohapatra once again took a dig at the singer for playing the victim card in the entire issue.
