Sona Mohapatra, famous Bollywood singer, is not one to mince her words and always takes a stand on social media about issues that really matter. One such issue being Anu Malik’s comeback as a judge on Indian Idol 11 even after the number of #MeToo allegations leveled against him. She has made her stand on the matter very clear and has also slammed the channel for the same. Anu Malik had been reinstated as the judge and is on the judging panel currently in Indian Idol 11 along with Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar. Just recently, Jag Ghoomiya singer Neha Bhasin has taken to her Insta and called out Anu Malik’s name under the ongoing #MeToo movement for sexually harassing her at the age of 21. Sona Mohapatra also wrote an open letter to the makers of Indian Idol.

Now, Sona Mohapatra has called out Sachin Tendulkar for praising the singers on Indian Idol 11. Sachin Tendulkar had earlier tweeted about the singers on the reality show and said that he was really touched by their soulful singing and life-stories of the talented youngsters on Indian Idol. Sharing  Sachin’s Tweet, Sona Mohapatra wrote, “Dear Sachin, Are you aware of all the @IndiaMeToo stories of multiple women, some minors who came forward in the public domain about Anu Malik, the judge in this same Indian Idol show last year including their own ex producer? Does their trauma not matter or touch anyone?” ALSO READ: Indian Idol 11: Will #MeToo Accused Anu Malik Quit Judging Duties After Being Called Out By Sona Mohapatra And Neha Bhasin?

A Twitter user asked how talent appreciation by Sachin Tendulkar is related to Anu Malik’s #MeToo allegations. To which she replied, “Yes, the context is actually missing, for U. A powerful conglomerate like Sony TV is trying to divert the shameful reinstating of a multiple accused sexual offender,Anu Malik as a judge on #IndianIdol by publicising @sachin_rt & @anandmahindra‘s praise & riding on their goodwill.”
