Indian Idol 12 Grand Finale: Finalists Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Mohd Danish, Sayli Kamble, Nihal Tauro and Shanmukhapriya Sing On 'Fauji Ki Farmaish' Segment
With a mixed bag of soulful music taking center stage, host Aditya Narayan along with co-host Jay Bhanushali and judges Anu Malik, Himesh Reshammiya, and Sonu Kakkar will be rooting for the contestants during the Greatest Finale Ever on August 15.
It is truly because of our dedicated Indian soldiers who guard the borders every moment of the day that Indian citizens can be at ease and sleep peacefully. And to pay respect to their bravery, Sony Entertainment Televisions’ Indian Idol Season 12 has dedicated a special segment during the ‘Greatest Finale Ever’ episode titled 'Fauji ki Farmaish'.
During the 12-hour long finale, the Fauji Ki Farmaish segment will see soldiers from the Indian Army cheer for the TOP SIX contestants Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Mohd Danish, Sayli Kamble, Nihal Tauro and Shanmukha Priya. The highlight of this segment is that the finalists will sing songs requested by the jawans present at the finale.
A proud moment for each contestant, every song that they sing will be a way of saying, ‘Thank you to the soldiers who continue to fight for the honor of our country and keep us safe'. Adding in a flavour of poetry will be Manoj Muntashir. To add to this, ex-contestants Salman Ali, Sunny Hindustani, Sawai Bhat along with current finalists Mohd Danish give an energetic performance on the song, Lal Meri Pat which is appreciated by one and all.
Sharing his experience singing for the soldiers, Mohd Danish shares, “It is an honour to be performing in front of our Indian soldiers who possess invincible strength and vigour when it comes to protecting our nation. Joined by ex-contestants Salman Ali, Sunny Hindustani, and Sawai Bhat, we hope to have made the soldiers proud with our performance. The greatest fine episode of Indian Idol is going to be an event I will never forget and I sincerely hope the viewers too enjoy what we have in store for them on a special day."
Apart from this, the 12-hour long finale will also see the presence of actors ‘Shershaah’ actors Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani who along with cheering the contestants will engage with Captain Vikram Batra’s family, the life story of whom is being depicted in the film.
