Indian Idol 12: Taimur Ali Khan Surprises Grandfather Randhir Kapoor With A Special Gift; Veteran Actor Says He Loves His Grandkids More

Indian Idol 12 will celebrate Randhir Kapoor's craft with a special episode this weekend. The contestants will sing his chartbuster hit songs. Going by the promos, many moments on the episode will leave the actor teary-eyed. One of them would be his grandson Taimur Ali Khan’s surprise gift. During the episode, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s son Taimur Ali Khan will send a special hand-made greeting card for Randhir Kapoor. “I love you, Nana. Take Care,” the card reads.
Randhir will be left all teary-eyed at this cute gesture. “Thank you very much for sharing this with me, thank you very much. After the shoot, I will directly go and meet him. Just like how every grandparent loves their grandkids more (asal se zyada sood pasand hai), similarly, I love my grandchildren more than Karisma and Kareena. Because they are my grandkids.” In another promo, the veteran actor gets emotional when contestant Pawandeep Rajan croons Jeena Yaha Marna Yaha from showman Raj Kapoor’s movie, Mera Naam Joker.
Randhir Kapoor then remembers his brothers, late Rishi Kapoor and late Rajiv Kapoor, and father, late legendary Raj Kapoor, and says he wishes they are happy wherever they are. Himesh Reshammiya, one of the judges on the show, too gets teary-eyed.

The grand finale episode of Indian Idol 12 will be shot across three days (except the final results) and will be telecast on August 15. Six contestants -- Arunita Kanjilal, Pawandeep Rajan, Mohd Danish, Nihal Tauro, Sayli Kamble and Shanmukhapriya -- are now vying for the coveted trophy.
