Indian Idol 13 PROMO OUT: Singing Reality Show Returns On Television; Receives Backlash From The Netizens, ‘Sab Fake He Ye Log Dikhawa Karna Nahi Chodte
Indian Idol is back with its 13th edition and makers have even launched a promo for the same, however, it has been receiving flak from the netizens as some labeled the reality show - 'scripted'
Indian Idol is one of the most loved singing reality shows and it is back with its 13th edition on television which will air on Sony Entertainment. The previous season Indian Idol 12 was a major hit and everybody loved it. Meanwhile, the audience is eagerly looking forward to the weekend of the show.
Now, the makers have released the promo of Indian Idol 13 and received major backlash from the netizens.
Recently, Sony Entertainment Television dropped the promo of Indian Idol 13 on their official Instagram handle. In the promo, a family can be living its daily routine and the mother is seen cooking. On the other hand, the father is working on a computer, while the kids are playing. And suddenly Monali Thakur’s song “Moh Moh Ke Dhaage’ plays which draws everyone’s attention and they all sit together and enjoy the show with their family.
Alongside the promo they wrote, “Phir se saath aaane ka bahana hai ab Mausam Musicana hai! Indian Idol season 13 coming soon! #IndianIdol #IndianIdolIsBack #IndianIdol2022 #IndianIdolSeason13 #IndianIdolS13.”
The promo ended up receiving backlash from the netizens. One of the users commented, “Nutankiyu ki dukan is comeback”, and another one commented, “Scripted Reality Show is back again”. One of the trolls wrote, “Audition khtm v nhi hua or shoot phle he wah”, another one commented, “Sab fake he ye log dikhawa karna nahi cohdte”.
In fact, Neha Kakkar who has been seen as a judge on the show also posted the video encouraging the contestants for the Delhi auditions.
The show received flak, as many controversies had cropped up for Indian Idol 12 post the show. During the show, the romantic angle was cooked up between Pawandeep Rajan, who won the last season, and Arunita Kanjilal, the contestant of the show. Another was regarding Sayli Kamble, she was portrayed that she hails from a poor family. But an old video of her went viral where she was seen singing with Marathi Singer Suresh Wadkar, so netizens slammed the makers.
Even, Amit Kumar, the son of legendary singer Kishore Kumar was invited to Indian Idol season 12 and he confessed that he was told to praise the contestants.
