It Was Luck By Chance For Manmohini Actress Garima Rathore In The World Of TV
We often hear stories of striking luck and the latest one to join the list is Garima Rathore. The actress will be seen playing the character of Siya in Zee TV’s Manmohini. We recently got to you the promo details wherein the Ishqbaaaz actress Rehyna Malhotra turned ghost for the show. And now, we present to you another interesting scoop from the show.
Producer Prateek was travelling to Jaipur and he was in search of a girl for Siya’s role. At the airport lounge, he saw this girl named Garima Rathore who was speaking loudly on the phone. She was discussing with someone about her future plans. Prateek loved her personality, her looks and went up to her and asked, 'Do you want to act?'
She found that a bit creepy at first but then, he gave her number to the casting person Naziya and was called for an audition. This was basically the first-ever audition that Garima gave and she was selected. Isn’t that interesting enough?
We got in touch with Garima who said. “It was a little shocking and overwhelming for me when Prateek sir came up to me at Jaipur airport and asked me if I wanted to act. At that point, I did not know what to say. But today, I guess this is how it was destined to be. Just imagine my first ever audition in life and I got the role."
Manmohini is a show, which is being produced under the banner of LSD Films, is set in the backdrop of Jaisalmer. The story revolves around the ghost played by Reyhna Malhotra, who is waiting for her lover to return since 500 years. Talking about the concept, Prateek said, “Manmohini is a story of love v/s love. It is unique in various ways and also gives a new dimension to the horror genre on television. There are few elements of occult craft that have never been explored on neither television nor in films that we are trying to present to our viewers. Horror as a genre is something I enjoy making and I am only happy that I have got a chance to showcase this wonderful story on Zee TV.”
